Initial Assessment
Initially,  we provide an informal assessment of reading, writing and spelling skills for every student.  This assessment includes testing of the academic subjects as well as fluency.  This screening gives us insight on what skills the student has acquired and how to proceed with his/her educational therapy.

Programs
Some programs we use include:
    The Wilson Reading System
    Great Leaps
    Morgan Dynamic Roots
    AIMSweb
    Handwriting Without Tears
We may use these and/or other programs depending on the needs of each student.  Assessment of the concepts taught is ongoing.  It is necessary for students to see their progress because visible improvement builds confidence and confidence is at the core of a great learner.

Fees
Students learn best in a safe, quiet and calm environment.  For this reason all lessons are taught in the students' homes.

Each session lasts 50 minutes.  A minimum of 2 sessions per week are recommended.  This gives the students consistency, makes progress meaningful and allows them to better retain the skills they have been taught.  Some students may require additional weekly sessions based on their educational needs.

The length of the program depends on each student's individual needs, cognitive ability, cooperation and behavior.  The objective for all students is to help them become self-sufficient readers.  Bringing students up to grade level reading takes time and effort.

The initial assessment is $120.
Educational therapy is $90 per session.
